4.0 out of 5 stars Nice device for the price, November 9, 2006

This has excellent digital sound for the price. I was surprised at how much better it made my CD's sound compared to my other player that had cost $30. It isn't as sensitive to motion as I thought it would be on mass transit and rarely skips. I wish I could have been given the option to choose a color - I was sent the silver one. It seems to have a smaller headset connection so my older headset doesn't work in it, but I don't mind the headset that comes with it. I am pleased with this purchase.

1.0 out of 5 stars Only took two weeks to fall apart..., March 24, 2007
I would not recommend this product to anyone. My son

received this cd player for his 10th birthday as a

replacement for an old one. Within two weeks the head-

phones quit working. The unit skips with the slightest

movement, making it no fun and unusable to my son. If

you can believe it, the old cd player is actually more

usuable than this almost brand new Coby cd player. : (

1.0 out of 5 stars Really Bad CD Player, Really Bad, March 31, 2009

This review is from: Coby CXCD109BLK Personal CD Player with Stereo Headphones, Black (Electronics)
Over the years I have become something of a portable CD-player connoisseur. Indeed, I have many leather-bound portable CD-players in my portable CD-player library. jk. I have, however, bought units from Sony, Panasonic, Philips, and now Coby. The others worked fine, channeled my music through my Sony MDR-XD100 headphones at a high quality.
But recently I broke two of my players, so it was time to look for a newer, less expensive machine.
The price of the Coby player is what attracted me to it. I thought, wow, for twelve dollars and the price of shipping I could have a new, black portable player. And I was right! But I was also extraordinarily disappointed. First of all, one touch, or even the remote thought of a touch, will interrupt your disc for a second or two, at least.
Second of all - one touch, or even the remote thought of a touch will interrupt your music! That should be nuff said.
Other defects, or shortcomings, include the ancient format of the... Read more

The 2009-2014 Outlook for Housewares and Tabletopware in Japan

The 2009-2014 Outlook for Housewares and Tabletopware in Japan

Product Description

This econometric study covers the latent demand outlook for housewares and tabletopware across the prefectures and cities of Japan. Latent demand (in millions of U.S. dollars), or potential industry earnings (P.I.E.) estimates are given across some 1,000 cities in Japan. For each city in question, the percent share the city is of it's prefecture and of Japan is reported. These comparative benchmarks allow the reader to quickly gauge a city vis-a-vis others. This statistical approach can prove very useful to distribution and/or sales force strategies. Using econometric models which project fundamental economic dynamics within each prefecture and city, latent demand estimates are created for housewares and tabletopware. This report does not discuss the specific players in the market serving the latent demand, nor specific details at the product level. The study also does not consider short-term cyclicalities that might affect realized sales. The study, therefore, is strategic in nature, taking an aggregate and long-run view, irrespective of the players or products involved.

This study does not report actual sales data (which are simply unavailable, in a comparable or consistent manner in virtually all of the cities in Japan). This study gives, however, my estimates for the latent demand, or the P.I.E., for housewares and tabletopware in Japan. It also shows how the P.I.E. is divided and concentrated across the cities and regional markets of Japan. For each prefecture, I also show my estimates of how the P.I.E. grows over time. In order to make these estimates, a multi-stage methodology was employed that is often taught in courses on strategic planning at graduate schools of business.

Just recived this set yesterday. My son, loves it. It was ordered as a birthday gift for a friend, but we had to try it out first. He loved pouring the milk and using the spoon.

The Milk Carton is heavy solid wood. Becareful if your child likes to throw things. He banged it around quite a bit and not dents or scars. We love it and will be ordering another.

I just wish the other toys from Kidkraft came in this inbetween color, not pastel but not PRIMARY either!

My kids seem to enjoy playing with this coffee set. It hasn't broken or gotten chipped. When they play with it, they put milk in the cups, I've washed them, the paint stays intact. The only kinda funny thing that happened with this toy was when my daughter opened it on Christmas, the sugar pot said "sukier" which is "sugar" in Dutch. We could've sent it back but decided to keep it and let it be a little educational sugar pot! Good toy, very well made.

I purchased this for our 2 year old to play with in her play kitchen. She pretends to make coffee for us all the time. It is well constructed and durable.
